Several thematic and experiential itineraries start from the lakeside. They can be experienced on foot and will take you through natural oases, vineyards, hills, meadows, and dry-stone walls.
The San Quirico itinerary, route of about 10 km through woods, vineyards, and panoramic views of the lake, offers the opportunity to discover the richness and variety of the South of Verbano landscape. At the top of the hill, the Church of S. Quirico stands as a guardian of the town.
The Trees and Herbs itinerary CAI E614, is a shorter path that overlaps part of the San Quirico path. It allows visitors to explore the history of Angera from a fresh perspective, thanks to the wild herbs and trees growing on the slopes of the famous Rocca and San Quirico hill, which rises 410 m above the town.
The Bruschera Marsh itinerary will lead you through a wetland of great natural value. Bring binoculars and a camera to quietly observe the environment and fauna frogs, herons, hawks, and kingfishers. From Bruschera marsch you can walk to the industrial area of Angera, which hides an extraordinary and unexpected place: the Kapannone dei Libri, created by writer and bibliophile Andrea Kerbaker, where you can admire rare and precious books dedicated to art, photography, and cinema.
