The Rocca can be reached on foot from the pier in Piazza della Vittoria, along a paved route of about 1.5 km with final stretch uphill.

Angera can be reached by car from Milan via the A8 motorway. The recommended exit is Sesto Calende/Vergiate, from which you continue along the Sempione state road to Sesto Calende; following the signs, take Provincial Road 69, which leads to Angera.
From Alessandria or Gravellona Toce, take the A26 motorway and exit at Castelletto Ticino, then continue along the Sempione state road to Sesto Calende; following the road signs, take Provincial Road 69 to reach Angera (download the map at www.michelin.it)
