The War Memorial dominates the part of the shore that juts out into the lake; it is made of granite and portrays an infantryman on lookout. The sculpture was made by the Turin artist Giacomo Giorgis and was finished on 20th September 1922. It commemorates the 83 Angeran citizens who perished in the Great War of 1915-18. Subsequently the names of those who fell in the Second World War were added.
