The Path of Trees and Herbs

The Path of Trees and Herbs is an itinerary of great beauty that winds through Angera among the lakefront walk, the village and the slopes of the hill of San Quirico (410 m asl) much loved by the people of Angera, who consider it the silent guardian of the city.

The round-trip walk of about 7 km is easy, partly on a dirt road, with a difference in height of 50 meters. It can start from Piazza della Vittoria and continue south along Viale Repubblica, after the Palazzo Comunale, take Via Marconi on the left where at no. 2 you come to the Civic Archaeological Museum site n. 1 of the Widespread Museum of Angera, worthy of a visit to the lapidary and collections. Continue along via Achille Piazzi and via Monte Rosa up to the crossroads with via Cervino, take via S. Quirico up to via Prato Fiorito and via ai Ronchi up to the Carée area.

A path between history, archaeology, and botany suitable for everyone that has been mapped and has become part of the network of paths recognized by the Lombardy Region (614E) and by the CAI.
